Accountant

Role Description The Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Phnom Penh. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, and maintaining accurate ledgers. The Accountant will handle accounts payable and receivable, assist with monthly and annual closing activities, and prepare financial reports for management. Responsibilities also include reconciling bank statements, monitoring cash flow, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners such as auditors and tax authorities.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are a plus.
• Prior experience in construction businesses is an advantage.
• Strong skills in general accounting, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable
• Ability to use accounting software and spreadsheets effectively
• Knowledge of local tax regulations, financial compliance requirements, and basic budgeting principles.
• Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
